Walk into any ZOU Library and enjoy the different services on offer.

The library caters for all current ZOU students, ZOU staff members, and approved readers.

  • By using this service, users agree to the library’s terms and conditions, as well as those terms and conditions detailed in the University policies affecting IT use.
  • Users must provide a form of identification as requested by the University.
  • Access to on-campus electronic resources from computers housed within the library.
  • Access to the university’s internet services.
  • Use your laptop device.
  • Use electronic resources for educational purposes (e.g., personal study or research). Using these resources for commercial purposes is strictly forbidden.
  • Save articles onto a portable storage device such as a USB drive, provided the material being saved complies with the license for the resource being used. Printing facilities are not provided.
  • Borrow, renew, and return library materials.
  • Use any of the content retrieved from the university’s electronic resources for commercial activities.
  • Share any university-issued usernames or passwords with any other party.
  • Share any materials retrieved from the university’s electronic resources with any other party, whether in print or electronic format.
  • Damage hardware or attempt to interfere with software or other applications running on the computers provided in any way. You are permitted to insert a USB memory stick into the USB port available as long as you agree that it is free from viruses or any other entity that might prove to be harmful or compromise the operation of the hardware, software, and the university’s network systems, which in turn violates the university’s policies.
  • Use the network for unauthorized purposes as per the university’s policy.
  • Access, transmit, store, print, promote, or display offensive, obscene, or indecent material, defamatory materials, or materials likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
  • Violate all library rules and regulations.
  • Attend to your library reference queries.
  • Sign your clearance letters, provided your project or thesis has been received through your Regional Program Coordinator.
  • Offer training on electronic resource usage, Mendeley, and TurnItIn.
